Online booking for mobile businesses

Do you offer your services on the go, at different client locations? If so, managing appointments can be a challenge since each booking is for a different spot. You might think that automating this process is not possible. Think again! Here’s how to set up your CalendarSpots account if you offer mobile services.

1. Hide your business address on the booking portal

While you may still have a business address for mailing/contact purposes, you’ll want to disable this on the booking portal as to avoid confusion. Go to Settings-Advanced-Portal in Business Details section and select Do not display your business address.

2. Hide your business address in email notifications

Same as above, make sure your business address isn’t appearing in appointment notifications. Go to Settings-Services-Edit and scroll down to the E-mail Notification section. Tick off Do not include business address in e-mail. Click Save at the bottom of the page. Repeat for any other mobile service.

3. Request exact appointment location

Add a question to the booking process so that customers can leave you the exact address for your appointment. Make the question mandatory; this way customers can’t complete the booking process without providing this information. This avoid errors and omissions, saving you the extra task of having to following up at a later date. Go to Settings-Services-Edit and scroll down to the Online Scheduling Rules Section to add your question. Don’t forget to save at the very bottom of the page. Repeat for any other mobile service.

4. Make sure to plan for travel

Traveling takes time. Plan for the road by adding a buffer between appointments. The software will automatically add the desired buffer as customers book their time slots. Go to Settings-Services-Edit and scroll down to the Online Scheduling Rules Section to add your buffer/padding. Click to save at the bottom of the page. Repeat for any other mobile service.

Ta-da! You are ready to start accepting appointments online. Just add a booking button to your website and Facebook page, and watch your calendar fill up.
